This years Summer Project began on the 11th of July 2011 with activities and outings for the 7 – 14 yr old group.Over thirty children took part in the week long activities, which included, Dublin Zoo, crazy golf, swimming and Clara Lara. On the Friday we had a bar-b-que and afterwards, the children were entertained by a magician and some mothers and younger siblings came along for the show. The group was split in two for most of the week and the children really enjoyed all the activities.

On the next week, the 11 – 14yr  old boys took part in lots of activities at Eco Adventure, they went fishing on a Wexford beach, did canoeing and swimming and on the last day they went to the National Aquatic Centre. This was a very actiive week for the lads and they got a lot out of it. The girls group was a small group and they especially making their own pizzas, which tasted really good.

The group of 11 -14yr old girls went on a shopping and cinema trip to Dundrum, they also did outdoor pursuits at Eco Adventure adn they spent a morning cooking in CEART.

The summer projects wouldn’t be possible without volunteers and funding from Wicklow Credit Union, Lottery Funds, School Completion Programme, Wicklow Co. Council, Involve and Wicklow Town Council.
