The Wicklow Travellers Group Family Link project, funded by TUSLA, is dedicated to supporting Traveller families with children aged 0 to 5 years old. This initiative focuses on the early years of a child’s life, providing culturally sensitive and tailored support to promote healthy development and wellbeing within the Traveller community. Recognising the unique needs and traditions of Traveller families, the project works closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen family relationships, enhance parenting skills, and address challenges that may affect children’s growth and safety.

Through a combination of one-on-one support, group activities, and collaboration with health professionals and early years services, the Family Link project ensures families have access to the resources and guidance they need. The project aims to create a nurturing environment where young children can thrive, while empowering families to build resilience and confidence in their parenting journey. By focusing on early intervention and holistic support, the Wicklow Travellers Group Family Link project plays a vital role in giving Traveller children the best possible start in life.
